Town Clerk

The Town Clerk serves as a recording officer and custodian of vital statistics and valuable municipal records.  Among other duties, the Town Clerk records and certifies all votes passed at Town Meeting, administers and records oaths of office to town officials and records various instruments as required by law.  The Town Clerk also issues certificates and licenses, prepares street and voting lists and supervises all elections.

The Town Clerk also serves as the Parking Clerk, accepting payments for parking citations within the Town of Hamilton.

How to Register to Vote
(taken from the Massachusetts Election's Homepage)

Who may register?
Only a person who is:

a.. a US citizen, and

b.. a resident of Massachusetts, and

c.. 18 years old on or before election day

How can I register to vote?
By Mail: Mail-in registration forms are widely available. To obtain a mail-in
registration form please call 978-468-5570 (Hamilton Town Clerk's Office) or
617-727-2828 or 1-800-462-VOTE and a form will be sent to you. Mail the completed form to your local town hall. You should receive a confirmation notice in 2 to 3 weeks. If you do not, please contact your local election office to verify your voting status.

The Board of Registrars are responsible for overseeing Town Meeting and Elections materials.
