Hamilton mourns loss of two members of public safety

(Hamilton, MA) – The Town of Hamilton suffered two tragic losses in a 24-hour span this week, with the sudden, untimely deaths of a Hamilton Police Officer on Monday, November 2 and a Hamilton Call Firefighter on Tuesday, November 3. Between them these two fine public servants had given more than 20 years of service to the Town of Hamilton and more than 35 years in public safety careers. Their deaths will be felt among their brothers and sisters in public safety and by their families, loved ones and friends for years to come.

At this time, I ask that we respect the wishes of their families for privacy and understanding as they grieve and heal. I also would would note that the leadership of the Town of Hamilton has been working diligently with all of our staff and volunteers, to ensure they have the support they need to cope with these tragic losses.

There will be no further statement from the Town about this tragic situation at this time.
