The Town of Hamilton is excited to kick off our annual Christmas Tree Recycling Program! As part of our commitment to sustainability, we encourage all residents to recycle their real Christmas trees and contribute to creating eco-friendly by-products that benefit our environment.

Tree chipping in Hamilton is free, simple, and impactful. By recycling your tree, you help keep organic materials out of landfills, reducing waste and turning trees into useful, sustainable products.

Tree Recycling Guidelines:

  • Before dropping off your tree, please ensure the following:
    • Remove all ornaments, lights, garlands, and any decorations.
    • Only bare trees with no additional items can be chipped to avoid equipment damage.

Special Thanks

This program is made possible through the generous support of Iron Tree Services, who have donated their chipping services to the Hamilton DPW. We’re incredibly grateful to them and to all residents who participate in this sustainable effort. Together, let’s keep Hamilton green and eco-friendly! Thank you for doing your part to protect our environment.
