Hot days such as Wednesday, June 19 are very taxing on Hamilton’s water treatment facility. Conservation is critical.

On Tuesday, June 18 at 4:40 p.m., when the temperature was 86 degrees and the heat index was 92, the water plant struggled to meet demand. On Wednesday afternoon, June 19, it is 91 degrees with a heat index of 101.

The Hamilton Water Department kindly asks residents to refrain from lawn watering. No watering is allowed between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Drought conditions are forthcoming and will include increased watering restrictions.

Thank you from the Hamilton Water Department.
