The Hamilton Select Board convened on Tuesday, April 22, for its first meeting following the 2025 Town Election where returning member Tom Myers was re-elected by Hamilton voters, and Ben Galuza was elected to his first term. They join continuing members William W. Wilson, William A. Olson, and Rosemary I. Kennedy in leading the town’s legislative and policy-making efforts.

As part of its annual reorganization, the Board elected new officers with a commitment to fostering dialogue, building consensus, and prioritizing the needs of the community. William A. Olson was elected to serve as Chair for the coming year—his second term in this leadership role, having previously served as Chair in 2021, William W. Wilson will continue as Vice Chair for the third consecutive year, and Rosemary I. Kennedy was elected to serve as Clerk/Secretary.

“These are important roles to fill, and we are a small group,” said Olson. “As we move forward, we will continue to work collaboratively and treat each other as equals, regardless of title. Everyone is important.”

In the coming weeks, the Chair will review Hamilton’s boards and committees, and assign Select Board members as liaisons to support the various civic bodies.

The meeting also confirmed the Board’s meeting calendar for the next six months. Upcoming meeting dates include: May 5, 2025 and May 19, 2025, as well as June 2 and June 16, 2025.
