About

The Hamilton Historical Society is a private, nonprofit organization, separate from the Town of Hamilton’s government. While the Society focuses on preserving and sharing Hamilton’s history, it operates independently and is not a town committee.
The Society was founded in 1961 with the following goals: To arrange stimulating programs relating local history for its membership and friends to disseminate as widely as possible the history of Hamilton. To serve as a meeting place for those who enjoy local history. To preserve artifacts relating to Hamilton to support research and publication of books and articles relating to Hamilton. To publish a bulletin containing news of the society’s coming events and material pertinent to the interest of society.

For inquiries about the Hamilton Historical Society, please contact the Society directly, as town officials do not manage or oversee its operations.
