Town Landfill

The Hamilton landfill is located at 500 Chebacco Road. The landfill is open to residents of Hamilton only (no commercial companies). The DPW accept branches (up to 5″ in diameter), brush, grass clippings, mulch, compost, soil and materials must be designated into separate piles. Leaves and stones are not accepted.

The landfill is open for drop-off on the last Wednesday of the month (April through October) from 7:30 A.M.- 2:30 P.M. (Weather notice: Landfill will not open when snow is forecasted/on the ground.)

Proof of residency is required by showing a valid drivers license to the attendant.

Brick Ends Farm

Brick Ends Farm is located at 464 Highland Street. The family-operated composting farm accepts, branches, brush, grass clippings and leaves. The disposal of grass clippings and leaves are free of charge for Hamilton residents. There is a fee for the disposal of branches and brush. Brick Ends Farm is open Monday-Friday from 7 A.M.- 4 P.M. and Saturday from 8 A.M.-12 P.M.

Curbside Leaf Pick-up

The DPW picks up residential leaves curbside three times a year. Please have leaves in brown leaf bags or trash cans curbside by 7 A.M. on scheduled pick-up days.

2025 Collection Dates: Saturday, May 24; Saturday, October 25; and Saturday, December 6

Holiday Tree Recycling

Christmas trees cannot be disposed of through curbside pick-up. Hamilton residents may recycle their real trees by dropping them off at the designated recycling location during the holiday season. Learn more/see drop-off schedule for 2024/25.
