A snow emergency parking ban in Hamilton goes into effect on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. This is the first parking ban of the winter season. The ban will remain in effect until further notice.

During the ban, vehicles may not park on town streets except for emergency, public safety, and utility repair vehicles. Vehicles must not block or interfere with snow removal or sanding operations.

Cooperation with the ban will allow the Department of Public Works crews to efficiently and safely clear snow from the roads. Vehicles in violation can be fined $20 and may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Please stay off the roads during the storm unless travel is absolutely necessary.

Stay informed throughout the storm by following the Hamilton Police Department on Facebook and X.
