Starting in 2025, Hamilton Town Hall will introduce “Quick Chronicles,” a series of brief blog-format stories celebrating the people, events, and history of the town.
Inspired by the legacy of the Hamilton-Wenham Chronicle, the former print community newspaper, these mini features will shine a spotlight on the vibrant Hamilton community and the remarkable individuals who live and work here.
“We have a few folks here in Town Hall who studied journalism in college,” said Cyndi Farrell, the new assistant to the town manager. “If we can help shine a brighter light on the amazing acts of service, creativity, and resilience happening every day in Hamilton, then we’re doing something truly meaningful for our community.”
The new initiative aims to complement the town’s existing communication platforms. “Our website serves as a welcome mat to services and programs in town, and our news and events section is a great first step for content,” said Farrell. “But we want to segment stories of service and community under their own catalog, giving them the attention and space they deserve.” Quick Chronicles will be shared on the town’s website and social media channels, ensuring the stories reach a wide audience.
Farrell invites everyone to contribute. If you have a story of service, kindness, or achievement that deserves to be shared, let us know. “Your story could be the next feature in Quick Chronicles and inspire others across our community,” Farrell added.
“Quick Chronicles” aims to keep the spirit of local storytelling alive, sharing snapshots of what makes Hamilton unique while fostering a deeper connection among residents. Check out our first story online.
