Position Overview: The Town of Hamilton is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide confidential support to the Town Manager and Select Board. This role is the first point of contact for residents, staff, and contractors and is essential to keeping the Town Manager’s office running smoothly.

Pay: $26.85 – $27.92/hour (Grade 6, commensurate with experience)
Responsibilities include:

Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating Town Hall facilities.

Preparing agendas, notices, correspondence, and official records.

Supporting Select Board meetings and Town events.

Processing payroll, invoices, and budget activities.

Providing excellent customer service to residents, staff, and contractors.
Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Public or Business Administration (Bachelor’s preferred).

3–5 years of administrative experience; municipal/government experience preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Munis software a plus.

Position Overview: The Town of Hamilton is looking for a skilled Truck Driver/Laborer to operate light, medium, and heavy equipment and to support a wide range of public works projects—everything from water system maintenance to roadway, traffic, buildings, parks, and cemetery upkeep. This position will report to the Cemetery Foreman.

Position Overview: The Town of Hamilton seeks a full-time Secondary Treatment Operator for the Water Department. This position will report to the Water Operations Supervisor and work a 40 hr./week, M – Th 6:30am – 3:30pm and F 6:30am – 12:30pm. Primary duties include supervises and/or operates heavy equipment on water projects, performs maintenance, repairs and construction work on water distribution system, reads meters, installs and repairs meters, utility mark outs, investigates residential water service disruptions, assists with water treatment projects, assists snow plowing and sanding, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications include high school/GED graduate with 3-5 years of related experience, water distribution experience preferred, must have and maintain both a valid Massachusetts Class B Commercial Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement and a Massachusetts 2B hoisting license. Must obtain a Massachusetts Treatment 1 Operator in Training in 6 months. A Treatment 1 license is preferred.
