Senior Citizen Property Tax Work-Off Program

The Senior Work-Off Program allows Hamilton residents over the age of 60 who own their property and home to perform work for the Town of Hamilton at a rate equal to minimum wage in order to earn credit towards their property tax bill. Under this program, these residents are allowed to earn up to 125 hours of work which would then be applied to their third quarter property tax bill. As of January 1, 2023, minimum wage is $15.00 per hour.

2023 Application Packet – Senior Citizen Property Tax Work-Off Program

Applications are also available at the Council on Aging and Town Hall. Applications should be submitted to the Council on Aging by December 1st. Applications need to be submitted annually.
