The Senior Work Off Abatement Program allows Hamilton residents over the age of 60 to perform work for the Town of Hamilton at a rate equal to minimum wage in order to earn credit towards their property tax bill.
Under this program, senior residents are allowed to earn up to $1,500.00 in credit which would then be applied to their property tax bill. As of January 1, 2022, minimum wage is $14.25 per hour, so an individual would be able to work for approximately 106 hours during the program year.
